For over 30 years, ECI's Biochemical and Molecular Engineering Conference has served as the centerpiece for a biannual gathering of the top academic, industrial and governmental researchers in the field of biochemical engineering. ECI provides a unique forum designed to highlight thr leading edge of science and technology and maximize interactions to enable solutions to today's issues and problems.

The 2013 conference will focus on frontiers in biological biology and processing, bringing together the top researchers from both the East and the West.  Specific topics include:

Foundational technologies for synthetic biology

Advances in biologics processing: the design and engineering of microbial factories for the synthesis of fuels, chemicals and nutriceuticals
