Gordon Research Seminar: Hydrogen-Metal Systems Seminar

13–14 July 2013
Lucca (Barga), Italy

The Gordon Research Seminar on Hydrogen-Metal Systems is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

The focus of this meeting is to discuss the fundamental aspects of hydrogen interaction with metals and compounds, as well as real applications of such interactions in energy conversion and storage, optics and sensors. Topical issues to be discussed include hydrogen storage in metal hydrides, porous materials, thin films, composites and nanostructured materials; hydrogen-metal based chemical/biochemical sensors, electrochemical interactions of hydrogen and metals; new synthesis and characterization techniques, novel hydrogen-metal systems and applications. Furthermore, the meeting will include a mentoring session where leading researchers within field from both academia and industry will share their career experience and advice.
