The forth annual Low-Energy Community Meeting will be held at the Mitchell Institute on the campus of Texas A&M University on August 21-23. The meeting will begin on the 21st and finish by noon on Saturday the 23rd. This meeting will follow the format and spirit of the past Community Meetings held at Argonne National Laboratory in 2012 and Michigan State University in 2013. Preliminary information about the meeting can be found at the links on the left of this page.
The Community Meeting is an important opportunity for researchers in the low-energy field of nuclear science to form and enhance collaborations. Community meetings provide the additional opportunity to develop and promote field-wide priorities. This may be particularly important this year with the possibility of an NSAC Long Range Planning process starting in 2014 or 2015.
A significant part of the meeting will be set aside for working groups. If your group would like to hold a working group meeting as part of the Community Meeting, please contact Brad Sherrill (sherrill at frib.msu.edu) or any of the members of the organizing committee.
If you would like to hold a satellite workshop please let the organizers know as soon as possible.
We look forward to seeing you in College Station in August.
