IEEE International Telecommunications Energy Conference (INTELEC)

28 September – 2 October 2014
Vancouver, Canada

The theme of the IEEE International Telecommunications Energy Conference (intelec) conference is Resilient Communications Energy for our Connected World.”. Our world is becoming increasingly reliant upon being globally interconnected with voice, text, video, data and other communications by optical, wired and wireless mediums.

However at the same time the integrity of these connections is being challenged by natural disasters, cyber-attacks, equipment failure, human error and other unforeseen events. Energy and power systems for communications are playing an increasingly important role in enabling uninterrupted communications and these systems must be reliable, robust and resilient. The conference will highlight developments that assure that energy processing and storage systems perform resiliently.

In keeping with the theme of the conference the Program Committee has developed a comprehensive technical program that will explore a broad range of topics crucial to the industry. The program will include keynote and plenary sessions, academic and industry presentations and poster sessions, exhibitor seminars and workshops.

The conference will also include tutorial sessions and an industry exhibition. At INTELEC you will be able to engage with global leaders and experts in topics such as powering through disasters, high voltage DC power systems, advanced energy storage systems and many others that are critical to operational success.
