We are delighted to invite you to the 3rd McMaster International Review Course in Internal Medicine (MIRCIM), which will take place in Krakow, Poland, on May 12 and 13 (Friday and Saturday), 2017.
MIRCIM is organised by the McMaster University Department of Medicine, the birthplace of evidence-based medicine (EBM) and problem-based learning (PBL), in collaboration with Jagiellonian University Medical College and the Polish Society of Internal Medicine.
In 2017, for the first time, the course will be accompanied by satellite events on May 11 (Thursday): a conference on evidence-based medicine supervised by Professor Gordon Guyatt and a series of practical workshops for physicians. All events will again take place in the ICE Krakow Congress Centre, located conveniently in the vicinity of Krakow’s famous tourist attractions and well-communicated with the airport, which offers excellent connections with many European cities.
The 20-minute lectures will be delivered by outstanding experts, from authors of clinical practice guidelines to researchers behind the breakthrough trials that shape the modern standards in medicine. Our aim is to deliver up-to-date and reliable knowledge that is useful to general internists, subspecialists, hospitalists, family physicians, residents and fellows in training specialising in internal medicine – and we are proud to say that we have been quite successful in achieving this goal.
In 2016, MIRCIM attracted over 500 participants from nearly 30 countries, from Canada to Korea and New Zealand. The overall rating of the course averaged 4.7 out of 5 points, with the majority of the surveyed highly praising the topic selection, quality of the lectures and overall organization of the course.
We will do everything in our power to make MIRCIM 2017 even better than the previous editions and make your stay an educational and memorable experience. We look forward to seeing you in Krakow in May 2017. - Co-chairs of the Organizing Committee
